Oh man did I love working with Melissa! The golden light + her glam dress was an absolute dream to photograph.

We chatted about what it’s like to move to a new city, education, and everything in between. Melissa graduated early, recently moved to San Francisco and is currently studying for her MBA! Her plan for the future is to use her undergrad + MBA degrees to work in health policy. I swear, I have the smartest clients!

Melissa was looking for a nature-y place to have her 21st birthday portraits done. After talking about her outfit and the vibe she was going for, we settled on Bedwell Bayfront Park – one of my favorite places to shoot at! It’s a big park, which means you don’t constantly have to be moving around people, and there aren’t tons of people staring while we shoot.
