I remember starting my very first business. Early in my high school years, I ran an Etsy shop. I sold polymer clay jewelry and trinkets. Then, holiday season hit – and I was burnt out. I came home from school after band practice, crafted Harry Potter charms to stay on top of orders, then did homework until 1AM. Rinse and repeat. It’s safe to say that I did not continue that Etsy shop after the holiday season. 😅
That’s why I was so impressed when I learned about everything Lindsey does! She runs not one, but several businesses of her own – she’s a social media manager, product photographer, and blogger. On top of that, she’s coordinated shoot-outs! We met at the Mission Loft meetup she planned a few months ago.
Alongside her current endeavors, her long-term goal is to study interior design. Talk about someone that has their stuff together!
Lindsey and I have been trying to shoot for a while, but our busy schedules just couldn’t line up until last week. We had this gorgeous beach sunset session in mind, but naturally, it rained. Luckily, the Bay Area has a thriving creative community, so we were easily able to rent Opal Creative instead. I finally got to put my studio Pinterest board to work! I purchased the Egg Shell seamless background from Savage Universal, got some flowers from the farmer’s market, and we were on our way.
After our studio time was up, we spent some time at Verve Coffee. We talked about the local creative community, our aspirations, and our lack of cars.
For this setup, I used two speedlites and bounced them off the walls (which were all white, making my life easy). I’m usually a natural light photographer, so it was fun to learn about studio lighting! I absolutely love how they turned out, and I can’t wait to get back into the studio.
