When Laura first reached out about a branding session, she didn’t have a website yet—but she had a clear vision. She wanted vibey therapist branding photos that would set the tone for her future website and connect with clients who value authenticity, warmth, and grounded support.
As a Boston brand photographer, I love working with clients at this exact stage—when they’re still shaping their visual identity and need a gallery of images that can stretch across every corner of their brand. Laura was building her practice, Laura Vidal Psychology, from the ground up, and we both knew that these images would be foundational for her online presence.
Planning for Strategic, Soulful Branding Photos
Before we even picked up a camera, we went through my in-depth planning process. It’s more than just choosing outfits and props—this is where we dig into your core values, brand messaging, and business goals. Why? Because I want every image in your gallery to work hard for you. When we know your “why,” we can create photos that have staying power and longevity—whether you’re updating your website, posting to Instagram, or creating print materials down the line.
Since Laura didn’t yet have a web designer, I actually referred her to one of my previous clients, Steph Corrigan. I love being able to connect amazing creative professionals and help build out your full brand vision.
A Boston Loft, A Frenchie, and the Sweetest Cameo
For Laura’s therapist branding photoshoot, we rented a dreamy loft space on Peerspace that gave us gorgeous natural light and a warm, inviting vibe. Think exposed brick, cozy corners, and just enough open space to move around and get creative.
She brought along her Frenchie, Savannah (who completely stole the show, of course), and her daughter, too! Including elements of Laura’s real life was important to her. But we were intentional about it: we wanted to highlight her identity as a mom without compromising her daughter’s privacy. It’s a balance we struck through thoughtful composition and moments that felt honest but not overly revealing.
A Gallery That Grows With Her Brand
Laura’s final gallery included a mix of editorial-style portraits, behind-the-scenes of a virtual therapist moments, and lifestyle shots that reflect her approachable energy. With these images, she can confidently build out her website, show up on social media with consistency, and make a strong first impression on potential clients.
Whether you’re a therapist, coach, or creative service provider, your branding photos should reflect you—not a generic version of your profession. That’s what we created for Laura: branding that feels human, grounded, and completely her.
